Functions of Vitamin K1

Coagulation

Vitamin K is an indispensable substance for the synthesis of prothrombin in the liver, and its function is to promote the conversion of prothrombin precursor into prothrombin. Deficiency can cause hypoprothrombinemia and coagulation disorders. There are well-established guidelines for the use of vitamin K1 as a hemostatic agent .
